Do you find yourself smiling less often because your teeth are not as straight as you would like them to be? Have you been avoiding visiting an orthodontist due to the fear of metal braces?

At Artistic Smiles in Miami, we understand that your physical appearance is very important to you, and the first aspect of your appearance that others notice is your smile. On the one hand, having misaligned or crooked teeth can cause discomfort in social situations. On the other hand, crooked teeth may not be as noticeable as metal braces, which is why many people have chosen to avoid orthodontic treatments in the past. Today, you have the option of perfecting your smile with Invisalign, which we are proud to offer at our dental clinic!

Invisalign Miami

Invisalign is a teeth-straightening system where clear, plastic trays are designed based on impressions of your teeth to gradually move them to their ideal position. The additional benefit of Invisalign is that it can correct a variety of bite issues and other problems relating to the alignment of your teeth. While Invisalign is an extensive procedure that completely transforms your teeth and improves your overall oral health, you will experience very little physical or social discomfort.

The steps involved in the treatment are as follows:

  • Your will come in for an appointment where we will use our cutting-edge technology to create a three-dimensional model of your teeth so that your dentist can determine the areas in need of correction with the utmost precision.
  • Next, we will create impressions or “molds” of your teeth, which we will use to create the plastic trays required for your treatment. You will be given several sets of these trays, and each new set is worn for approximately 2 weeks to gradually bring your teeth to the proper alignment.
  • After an average treatment time of one year –much quicker than metal braces! – you will be given a final plastic tray shaped to fit your newly perfected teeth. We will recommend that you wear it at night to maintain your teeth’s proper positioning.

Unlike metal braces, Invisalign is virtually invisible and can be removed during meals and social situations, as well as your daily dental hygiene routine. No one will ever know that you are in the process of straightening your teeth! Your Miami dentist, Dr. Yon Elejabarrieta, is an Invisalign Preferred Provider and offers a free consultation to determine if Invisalign is right for your unique dental needs.
